The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals is implementing "CJA eVoucher," a web-based system for creating, calculating, and submitting CJA vouchers, on Monday, August 3, 2015. Other federal district and appellate courts are also implementing this system. Online preparation of funding requests and CJA vouchers will simplify the bar's billing process and speed submission and review of the claims.
For appeals decided before August 1, 2015, any paper vouchers must be received by November 30, 2015. For appeals pending on August 1, 2015, and all new appointments, CJA eVoucher will be used.
